LVP Installation in Seattle, WA

We install LVP in the north end of Seattle only, the neighborhoods that sit within about 30 miles of our Mukilteo showroom: Northgate, Lake City, Greenwood, Ballard, Wedgwood, and View Ridge. Most of that stretch is a straight shot down I-5 or Highway 99, usually under 40 minutes outside of rush hour. Within our range, LVP earns its keep in a few specific ways. Ballard and Greenwood are full of early-1900s Craftsman bungalows, and when the original fir or oak under the carpet is too far gone to save, or the room in question is a kitchen, bathroom, or laundry area that takes daily water, waterproof plank is usually the honest recommendation instead of replacement hardwood. Wedgwood and View Ridge were built out largely in the 1940s and 1950s during developer Albert Balch's postwar developments, and the finished basements and rec rooms common in those mid-century houses see real Pacific Northwest moisture that hardwood was never built to handle. Northgate and Lake City mix older homes with newer infill and multifamily construction, and the basements and lower levels in that newer stock are exactly where we steer homeowners toward LVP instead of wood.

Older homes also mean older subfloors. Plank subfloors in pre-war houses settle, cup, and drift out of level over the decades, and click-lock LVP planks will flex and separate over any subfloor that isn't corrected first. We check for that on every estimate and write it into the quote as its own line item, not a surprise once work starts.

Your planks acclimate on site ahead of installation, then our GAIA-certified crew levels or repairs the subfloor, common in pre-war construction, and installs your new floor to the manufacturer's written specs. We finish with a walkthrough so you can inspect every plank with us before we call the job done.
